Patrick Mahomes will soon be done tackling life with a newborn.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and wife Brittany Mahomes—who share daughter Sterling, 3, and son Patrick "Bronze," 19 months—recently revealed that they're expecting baby No. 3. But do they want to add No. 4 to their team one day?
"I'm done," Patrick emphatically stated during a Chiefs press conference July 16. "I'll say that. I said three and I'm done."
And while the three-time Super Bowl winner might not want more kids, he is grateful that he and Brittany—who married in 2022—had their kids when they did.
"It's awesome," the 28-year-old said of fatherhood. "I always wanted to have kids young."
"We're having our third kid now to join our family," Patrick continued. "And Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things."
And since he's busy with football for most of the year, he treasures the time he spends with his kids, adding, "Whenever I'm with my family, I want to enjoy those moments."
Brittany and Patrick first shared the news of their pregnancy on Instagram July 12, posting a video of their family dancing to Bruno Mars' song "Count On Me" and posing with a sonogram of their new addition. The couple captioned their video, "Round three. Here we come."
In addition to siblings Sterling and Bronze, the new baby will also be joined by the family's beloved dogs, Steel and Silver. And according to Brittany, while kids and pets are definitely different, being a dog mom did prepare her for having children.
"It helped a lot," the 28-year-old told E! News in May. "I got Steel when I was in college, so just having that responsibility of having to take care of something at all times, I think helped with my kids and made me the caregiver that I am and made it a little bit easier to transition."
